Ruben Amorim confident Man Utd are signing 'perfect' player for 'fair price'

Ruben Amorim is excited to welcome Matheus Cunha to Old Trafford and believes Manchester United are signing a ‘perfect’ player for a ‘fair price’, according to reports.

It was reported on Monday morning that United were closing in on a deal for Wolves and Brazil playmaker Cunha.

Cunha has verbally agreed to join the Red Devils despite interest from United’s Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

The final details of his United contract are being finalised but Cunha is expected to sign a long-term deal at Old Trafford in the coming days.

Cunha signed a contract extension with Wolves towards the end of the January transfer window but made an agreement with the Midlands club that he would be sold this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has scored 31 goals over the past two seasons, has a release clause worth £62.5m.

Cunha has been one of the standout players at Wolves since arriving in the Premier League from Atletico Madrid in 2022.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano , Amorim and his Manchester United coaches view Cunha as a ‘perfect’ addition to the club and his favoured 3-4-3 system.
