Tottenham handed double injury boost as Roberto De Zerbi issues six-man update

Spurs were left sweating over No10’s latest injury scare
Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that James Maddison will be available for Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
The attacking midfielder started as Spurs beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend, but had to be withdrawn shortly after half time with a suspected groin injury.
The England international has struggled to regain full fitness after returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury at the end of last season and spent time on the sidelines with a shoulder fracture in September.
Maddison has been eased back to action, but after scoring on his first competitive start since May 2025 against Coventry, he was given a surprise start as Spurs secured a rare win at Stamford Bridge.
His early withdrawal in west London was a concern on a historic evening for the visitors, but De Zerbi said the former Leicester man’s knock was not as bad as first feared.

“James is available,” the Italian said of his No10, although the former Brighton boss admitted that Maddison had not trained fully.
“This week, Maddison didn’t work like other players, but for tomorrow he is available,” he continued. “He is a special player for us. He has unique characteristics.”
Destiny Udogie has missed Spurs’ last two games with a knee injury, but could be in contention to face Palace.
"He [Udogie] is available,” De Zerbi said of his compatriot. “That is another problematic player in terms of injuries."
Lucas Bergvall remains out with a knee injury picked up during Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Savio is continuing to manage a muscular issue, while Mykhailo Mudryk has been out since the start of September with an ankle problem.
“Still out [are] Tosin, [Lucas] Bergvall, [Mykhailo] Mudryk. Savio is injured. Everyone else is available,” De Zerbi said.
Spurs take on a Palace side on Saturday who have been in inconsistent form since Pierre Sage took over from Oliver Glasner in the summer.
The Eagles are 17th in the table with just two wins all season, and they are without a league win since their 3-1 victory over Glasner’s Nottingham Forest at the start of October.
They did snap their winless run in all competitions in midweek, with a narrow 1-0 victory at Fulham in the Carabao Cup, thanks to Eddie Nketiah’s first-half winner.
