Tottenham Hotspur players were quick to send Guglielmo Vicario their best wishes, after he secured a loan move to Juventus for the season ahead.

Having featured in 31 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites in 2025/26, the 29-year-old lost his place to Antonin Kinsky toward the back end of the season, with surgery on a hernia interrupting his season in March.

As a result, the Italian's future with the club was cast into speculation for the campaign ahead, especially with the club bringing in an experienced Martin Dubravka as a free agent.

Juventus ultimately emerged as a suitor for Vicario, securing a season-long loan for the shot-stopper earlier this week.

The Old Lady also have an option to make the move permanent in around 12 months for £8.5million.

As a result of his departure, Vicario was quick to share an emotional statement online, thanking fans and the club for their support over the course of his three-year stint in North London.

He wrote on Instagram: "Dear Spurs fans.. where do I even start?! THANK YOU is the first word that comes to mind.

"You made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. Playing in the Premier League for a huge club has always been a dream and for this reason Tottenham will forever have a special place in my heart and in my memories.

"A big thank you to the club, all the staff and all the teammates I played with in these years. Winning the Europe League, together, and seeing the joy we gave our fans is a memory that will never fade away, and something that I will be forever proud of.

"Good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead...and one more time, THANK YOU!"
