Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Welsh wonderkid Axel Donczew.
Donczew, 16, is widely regarded to be among the brightest talents in Welsh football having become the youngest player to represent Cardiff City’s first-team last October.
The historic moment came in Cardiff’s EFL Trophy defeat to Newport County, with the teenager coming on as a substitute aged only 15 years and 234 days.
He went on to feature again for Cardiff in the side’s 5-1 loss to AFC Wimbledon, replacing fellow countryman Troy Perrett midway through the second half.
However, it appears that cameo will be Donczew’s second and final ever appearance for his boyhood team, with the attacking midfielder set for a stunning move to Premier League champions Arsenal.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have agreed a deal to land Donczew and the player has already completed his medical with the north London giants.Arsenal will be expected to officially confirm Donczew’s arrival in due course, with the Wales Under-19 international set to start out in the club’s Hale End academy ranks.

Donczew, who has played for Wales from Under-15 through to Under-19 level, is also eligible to represent Poland.
