Arsenal latest: Real Madrid's thoughts on selling Vinicius Jr as Tottenham move emerges
Arsenal are aiming to strengthen their squad for the new Premier League campaign

Arsenal are exploring a stunning move to bring Vinicius Jr to north London this summer.
The Gunners have made three signings so far with Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier and Christos Tzolis all joining for a combined £68.5million. Mikel Arteta is planning to continue strengthening the squad as Vini appears among the latest linked with a switch to north London.
The Arsenal boss is also considering a shock transfer swoop for Tottenham's Cristian Romero in order to resolve some defensive problems. The battle for Yan Diomande is intensifying between multiple suitors, with Arsenal, Real and Paris Saint-Germain all keen on the teenager.

Vinicius Jr transfer option

Arsenal are considering a remarkable move to sign Vinicius Jr. The Athletic reports that the Gunners have expressed interest in the Brazil international, with the deal in its preliminary stages.
Real have no intention of losing the winger on a free transfer next summer with only 12 months left on his contract. They are also reluctant to pay Vini's loyalty bonus should he fulfil the remainder of his deal.
It is understood that no dialogue has taken place between the clubs as yet, but Arsenal chiefs are willing to pursue the potential transfer.
Yan Diomande deal accelerates

Real Madrid are advancing in their pursuit of Yan Diomande following the rejection of an £85.4m offer by RB Leipzig. However, talkSPORT reports that negotiations are moving forward swiftly regarding a switch to Spain.
The development comes just days after Arsenal made initial enquiries about signing the 19-year-old following his impressive debut campaign in Germany. Diomande's performances for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup have also enhanced his market value, but it appears Real are the frontrunners.
It's understood their opening proposal totalled an initial £76.9m plus £8.5m in add-ons. The Spanish heavyweights are now preparing an improved offer and remain optimistic about securing the winger's signature.
Rival star links

Arsenal have joined Chelsea in seeking a surprise move for Tottenham's Cristian Romero. Reports in Italy suggest both London rivals hold an interest in the defender, who is understood to be available for £42m.
While a transfer across north London appears unlikely, Arsenal are actively seeking defensive reinforcements with William Saliba ruled out due to a back complaint. Romero is tied to Spurs until 2029, but there remains a widespread expectation he will leave the club this summer.
Inter are also monitoring the centre-back and have held discussions with his representatives over a potential deal. The Italian side are favouring a loan arrangement with an obligation to buy.
