Jurrien Timber has travelled with the Arsenal squad for the first time since his summer injury setback, joining the team for their trip to face Napoli in midweek.

Timber’s last appearance for the Gunners was last season, but he was back in full training on Tuesday, and he was then seen travelling to Italy in the evening.

There was no sign of William Saliba or Cristhian Mosquera with the travelling squad, leaving a couple of openings for academy players. Max Dowman and Marli Salmon have filled those spots on the plane.

The Champions League uses 23-player matchday squads, rather than the Premier League’s 20, giving a few extra places on the bench. One of these is almost always used by a goalkeeper, but the other two often end up providing opportunities to youth players.

Below is the full Arsenal travelling squad, based on pictures and videos of the players boarding the plane.
