Haaland's dad rages after England beat Norway and lashes out at referee

, after initially going behind in the first half.

’s double, with the first coming just before half time and the second in extra time, saw England come out as 2-1 winners.

The game was billed as Haaland vs

Harry Kane

, with

Thomas Tuchel

’s side managing to keep the Man City striker relatively quiet before he was surprisingly substituted during the additional 30 minutes. As ever, Alfie was in the stands to support his son, and he didn’t hide his feelings before and after the game.

The match was packed with talking points, with Kane feeling like he was fouled in the build-up to Norway’s opener. Norway's staff then

claimed that the ball hit a cable

before Bellingham’s equaliser.

In the second half,

Norway had a goal ruled out after a VAR check

, with Haaland shown to have pushed Elliot Anderson as they tusseled during a corner. There was another VAR intervention in extra time, when England saw a penalty overturned after a challenge on Djed Spence.

In the seconds after the referee announced the decision not to award a penalty, the camera turned to Haaland snr, who appeared to turn to the England fans and do a diving gesture. He then sticks two fingers up in the same direction and appears to say “f*** off”.

The former Norway internation has continued to show his dissatisfaction. After the game, he took to social media and wrote: “Well done Bellingham and referee.”

Early on Sunday morning, he added: “Saved bye [sic] the referee. Hope you win the WC now. But feel we got robbed today.”

Some fans gave their response to his claims: “I’d genuinely love to know how they were ‘robbed’,” one said. “They had a goal disallowed for blatant foul. There was also an extremely debatable foul in the build up to their goal and the ref overturned a penalty for England??”

A second added: “I mean we had a clear penalty overturned mate. Wouldn’t say the ref favoured us at all.”

“No, Alfie, you should be proud of your country,” a third said. “The boys gave everything they had and fought until the very end. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that the other team was better on the day and accept it with grace.”

Alfie Haaland wasn't the only person associated with Norway to be unhappy with the referee.

Winger Andreas Schjelderup also spoke out about decisions

"Unfortunately, the margins were against us, the odds were against us," he said. "Some decisions by the referee were a bit bitter. If we lost fully it would have been a bit different."

Captain Martin Odegaard also added that Norway "didn't get much help from the referee. The margins went against us and we had a bit of bad luck."

England will now take on

Argentina

in the semi-final on Wednesday night (8pm). Argentina came out as 3-1 winners over

Switzerland

after Extra time in the early hours of Sunday morning.
