Manchester United could turn Nicolo Tresoldi's head this summer, despite his commitment to Club Brugge . United have enjoyed a fruitful transfer window this summer thus far, with a number of top-class arrivals.

As well as forking out for midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, goalkeeperKarl Darlow will likely play second-string to Senne Lammens after joining the club as a free agent. However, a number of problem positions could still do with rectifying before next month's seasonal curtain-opener.

One of those departments comes in the form of strikers. While Benjamin Sesko held his own in the Premier League in his maiden season, he wasn't quite the 20-goal striker that United were seeking.

Having managed to find the back of the net just 11 times in 30 appearances, United could be on the lookout for someone to challenge Sesko's position. One name that has emerged as a possible signing is 21-year-old Brugge frontman, Tresoldi.

The Germany youth international has shone in the Belgian Pro League since his switch from Hannover 96 last summer, notching 23 goals and nine assists in all competitions during his debut campaign. And consequently, several Premier League sides are monitoring the situation with an eye towards a transfer.

United are believed to be among those clubs, alongside Chelsea - who are currently restructuring their first-team squad following Xabi Alonso's appointment as head coach. That said, United may face a considerable challenge should they be genuine in their interest in Tresoldi.

The Cagliari-born striker has recently reconfirmed his dedication to Brugge for 2026/27 following his impressive performances in the Belgian Pro League last season. With three years remaining on his existing deal, club president Bart Verhaeghe has also made it clear that Tresoldi will not be departing - not even for a record-breaking sum.

With substantial financial resources available, INEOS could alter that situation. HNS claim that United are keeping tabs on Tresoldi's circumstances on a 'day-to-day' basis, while Roma are also pursuing the talent.

The publication also reports that the Serie A heavyweights have lodged an offer of £29.9million. Without a release clause in his deal until next year, the decision rests firmly with Brugge as they attempt to hold onto Tresoldi.

And notwithstanding their resolute position, that's not to suggest an extraordinary proposal couldn't shift matters. Supporters have witnessed clubs reverse their position repeatedly concerning a player's availability during transfer windows once a substantial multi-million pound bid arrives.
