Manchester City Launch Enquiry For This Crystal Palace Star: Good Choice For Maresca?
In a recent report, The Athletic mentioned that Manchester City have launched an enquiry for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton. However, it is understood that the Mancunian club’s attempts have been in vain as the Eagles are unwilling to let the English talent leave this month.
Wharton’s Impressive Form In English Football
Wharton had a solid campaign at the London club recently after he produced a run of impressive performances for them in the middle of the park. The 22-year-old scored one goal and picked up seven assists in 53 matches for Crystal Palace last season across all fronts.
The English sensation is currently one of the most talented central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Mancunian club are eager to land him in this transfer window.
His current contract at Selhurst Park will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man City to land him on the cheap this off-season.

Will Wharton Be A Good Choice For Manchester City Boss Enzo Maresca?
Wharton is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.
The English talent can shoot the ball with power from long range and is full of energy and running in the middle of the park. Wharton is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. He has enough experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life in English football.
We can expect Wharton to add more quality and depth to Man City boss Enzo Maresca’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 22, Wharton has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for the Mancunian club to consider in this transfer window. Hence, Man City would be wise to move in for him in the January transfer window or next summer.
