An unlikely scorer doubled Roma's lead as Manu Koné slotted a first-time finish low into the bottom corner from Evan Ferguson's cross.
Things got even better for Gian Piero Gasperini's team before the break as Ferguson got on the scoresheet himself with a poacher's finish from close range.
With just 31 minutes played, the Giallorossi are well on their way to a fifth home win in six matches.
