Sunderland and Régis Le Bris suffer early selection blow before Manchester City trip

Sunderland and Régis Le Bris face an early selection setback for next weekend’s trip to Manchester City, according to Sunderland Echo.
Left back Reinildo received a second yellow card for a late foul on Bukayo Saka during the 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, triggering a one-match Premier League suspension. As it was two bookings, the decision cannot be appealed and was upheld after a brief VAR check.
Le Bris must decide whether to hand a league debut to Dayann Methalie, who has 65 minutes for the Black Cats from the Carabao Cup win over Hull City. Alternatively, Trai Hume could return at left back, a role he has performed many times for Sunderland.
Habib Diarra and Romaine Mundle will also miss the game with hamstring and knee injuries respectively.
Juan Riquelme Angulo will be available for the first time. He was introduced to supporters ahead of the game at the Stadium of Light.
