USMNT striker Damion Downs 'attracting MLS interest' 🇺🇸

USMNT and Southampton striker Damion Downs is attracting interest from a handful of MLS teams, according to Southampton insider Alfie House.
The 22-year-old spent half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Bundesliga side Hamburg, failing to score in 12 matches.
Yet Downs is seen as one to watch in American circles, and has generated interest from MLS clubs as a result.
The forward was called up by USMNT boss Mauricio Pochettino in 2025 after an impressive spell with FC Köln in which he helped the side win a league title and automatic promotion to the Bundesliga. He had 11 goals and six assists in just 1,964 minutes played that year.
