Rebekah Vardy and her husband Jamie are in the news again after their new reality series aired on ITV .

The show, titled The Vardys, follows the couple as they adjust to life in Italy after Jamie's move to Serie A side Cremonese.

Rebekah , 44, has often suffered from a bad reputation for her role in the Wagatha Christie dispute. It sparked when fellow WAG Coleen Rooney announced on social media that Rebekah was leaking posts from Coleen's private account to newspapers.

Rebekah then sued for accuser for libel, but a court dismissed her claim in 2022 on the basis that Coleen's statements were substantially true. Rebekah was ordered to pay a substantial proportion of her fellow WAG's legal expenses plus her own costs, which were estimated to be a total of £3million.

But one journalist suggests her encounter with the mum-of-six gave a rather different impression to the one often given in the press. Rebekah paid a visit to the Radio Times' offices to discuss hew new series.

Writer Caroline Frost explains : "Vardy even came into the RT offices last week to discuss the show, and I can confirm that, contrary to the 'resting b***h face' she says she's tagged with by the UK press, she was very smiley, pleasant company, clearly thriving in her new ex-pat life.

"What I would call the calm after the storm and what she called 'a rest and rest'. As she described the premise for the show, 'we had something new to talk about.'"

The show follows the Vardys as they look for somewhere to live (the small town of Cremona is situated in Italy's Lombardy region with Milan the nearest big city). It also features Rebekah and Jamie's attempts to find schools for five of the children with the oldest staying in the UK.

The move to Italy has been far from perfect though as the family's £2million Italian mansion was burgled while Jamie was unsuccessful in his attempts to help Cremonese avoid relegation.
